06 Accord auto tranny swap into 02 TL-S
I have an 02 TL-S with 105k and the tranny shit the bed. I have reading in forums that people are swapping the 06-07 v6 accord trannys in and I want to make sure this is a bolt on swap before o order a tranny that I can't use. Please let me know if anybody can vouch for this swap

I've heard of the CL engines in the second gen TL's. That's the only one I've heard of, I've read on acurazine that it costs about $4k to do the full engine and trans swap to 6 spd manual
I also need to see the cheapest way to do the trans swap, because I might be picking up a 1999 TL soon with 120k, and I'm afraid I'm playing with fire with the notorious trans problems

I don't remember the site I seen it on but I did see that they were swapping in the 6 speeds... But I found somebody that had swapped in a 5 spd auto tranny into his tl but there were no pictures or much detail hence the reason I made this post.... If they are compatible then I'm gunna do the swap in mine because I can get an accord tranny for like half the price of a tl tranny

a 04-06 oddy trans, since it is a mom mobile there is much less chance it has been beaten on and they are plentiful in the yards.
It is not completely a direct drop in there are some parts (trans range switch,trans filter housing) that need to be transferred and a couple holes that are cast into the housing need to be tapped, the bosses are there they just need to be drilled and tapped.
