Suspension differs per vehicle, so if it sucks on a XXX, then it doesn't guarantee it sucks on a miata. I recommend the following, which exceed your 650 budget.

1> Tein Flex with higher front spring rates (949racing.com)
2> BC Racing with higher front spring rates (I use these)
3> Ground Control Coils + Koni's revalved (Fatcatmotorsports)

Save your money and buy the right stuff.

Sorry for thread jacking .......

I'm also in the market for a miata and was wondering the same thing .Since everyone is saying GC & Koni's are good does anyone have pics of them really low . And besides price whats the draw backs of having a 1 piece coil-over compared to the Gc koni combo .

Here are some pictures of my old car. Koni yellows, Ground control coils with 450f/375r springs. I still had quite a bit to go down in the front (another inch and a half) and another inch in the rear.

and shawn, wtf ! why would you spend money on that "style" bar looking thing ? those things collapse like a mouse trap if you actually roll, when it comes to safety i dont skimp out on the money part, im gonna get the hard dog hardcore with double diagonals, but im a little short on $$$ so i gotta wait =(

I didn't spend any money on it, but it will protect you just fine in a rollover. It's an autopower bar, 1 3/4" x .095 Dom tubing.

Single loop is fine if its the right thickness. NO ebay brand do not provide the right thickness. Autopower is a good name. Me personally, I like having a harness bar.
