Default Hey guys starten new project soon need advice... b16 in crx.

Hey guys as you know i drive a twin turbo 300zx but im buying a 1989 HF crx from my buddy for 700 bucks and the questions im having is i know i wanna put a b16 motor in there because i want v tec but ... how hard is the swap? i know i can get the motor and trans for less then 1300 and a wire harness for less then 150 but how hard is it to install the motor and wire it up for v tec? Ive never delt or even worked on a honda before only DSM's and Nissan's and this is gonna be very new to me so im wondering how hard is this? and what all is needed to swap a SI motor "b16" in a CRX?

thanks

Jason

p.s in my "signature" im tryin to have my picture come up.. how do i do that?

You can pretty much buy every part needed for the swap. www.honda-tech.com has a lot of info in their archives, and www.hasport.com has some articles on it, too. www.honda-swap.com is also another site to check it. It's surprisingly easy aside from the rusted bolts and nuts you are bound to encounter.

Don't forget if you are talking about the new "SI" motor than that is hydro tranny, Yours is cable, Have to make adjustments for that.
