Default weird noise when starting the 240sx

when i start up the car , a noise is followed by it. It sounds like when the car is already running and you turn the key even more and get that sound. thats what it sounds like any suggestion what it might be wrong

thats what it sounds like, like maybe your starter shaft is freazen up and not disengaging right away, check it out and if it keeps doing it tap it with a balpine hammer

if you get a chance, replace the starter...you may end up damaging the flywheel if you keep doing that. but yes, sounds like the starter isnt disengaging.

Do the 240's have starter squel issues. Its common for the fwd sr20de's to have what is called starter squel. It gets worse on my car when its cold. One year its there the next its not.
