weird clunking noise???

Default weird clunking noise???

I need some help with my 00 honda civic si when im coming to a stop about 5mph and hit the brakes i hear a bad clunking sound what could it be rotors,calipers,pads???

neither.... check your motor mount on the driver side.....

na man i dont think it could be a motor mount its a clunk sound only when u hit the brake when im about to stop..

where are you located???

it could very well be the caliper bracket or the brake pad hardware

im in charlottesville.. i think ur a ways away from me thanks for offering to help me though.. im going to take the wheel off today when i get off work and look over the brakes..

shitty any who check to make sure whoever replaced the pads last put the hardware back in the calipers between the pads and the caliper bracket

ok thanks i will b sure to check that.. i noticed today when i was driving to work about 60mph it would make a clicking noise.. and still did that clunking sound when im going about 5mph as im on the brakes about to stop

ok just got home and took the wheel off and inspected didnt see nothing out the ordinary all the bolts were tight the rotor did look pretty wore kinda uneven.. so i just orded a full set of brembo rotors

Check and see if the little set screws are still there also make sure there is no rust on the hub . I doubt it would be your rotors that would give you a vibration . it could also be your trans mount and or a engine mount it will make a noise when you brake .
