Default d15b swap

I have a 98 civic ex with a blown d16y8 and am trying to do a stock or even a d15b (96-00 version) swap. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would just drop in to my existing y8 wiring harness and ecu? Would I need to change motor mounts etc... ? I am lost anyone with any info on this situation would be very helpful!!! thanks

^agreed^ should be the same, just take the mounts and harness off of the old motor and put it on new one

thanks i was thinking the same just needed some confirmation. Anyone heard how these jdm d15b engines are? I have heard that you have to order any parts for them from japan and that it could take a couple weeks to get some of the parts...... any word on this being true or not? again thanks for any info!!!

i dont think it will be anymore of a problem getting parts for it, everything should be the same as usdm except a few internals, i dont really mess with any single cams. Just drive them or pull them. I wouldnt get to deep in messing with it, just swap a b series in if your looking for performance over stock.

Ill sell you a d15 block for 50 bucks works perfectly, i also have another 1.6l vtec head, 1.5 head, few trannys,
