D15B swap-acting up-need help
Ok. I would just like to see if anyone has ideas or possible solutions to my problem. Thank you!
I have a 91 crx that had a d16z6(for sale btw) in it running of off the crx si computer and obdo dizzy. the motor had some problem, and didnt have the time to try to figure it out. so i bought a motor (D15B) from my friend. we put it in really with no problem. a motor mount had to be transferred along with the fuel injectors, fuel rail, dizzy, headers, starter, and tranny to keep it compatible. the thing is-the engine will not rev past 4k. other then that it idles fine and everything. i'm thinking it must be the ecu. the stock si motor and the d16z6 were both 16 valves, and the d15b is an 8 valve. trying how to figure how to get it out of this safety mode. There is no check engine on.
Yes i ran a d16z6 sohc vtec- on a non vtec ecu. vtec didnt work-but just wanted to put that out there.

yea. the tps is hooked up with the wiring harness. does anyone think it has to do with the ecu? and if so-what ecu would be compatible?-hf ecu ect?
