Default Looking for turbo work at a local shop

I own an 87 rx7 turbo II. I recently put on a racing beat turboback exhaust. The stock internal wastegate port on s4 turbos is not nearly large enough to combat boost creep. I am looking for a shop that feels comfortable porting my stock 13mm port out to about 35mm and welding a washer onto the flapper door to seal the port shut when the wastegate is not engaged. I've called many places locally and they seem scared when I mention the word rx7, even though the turbo is not on the car nor does it have anything to do with the car. In order to assist with showing what I need done, here are a few picture links: http://www.bnrturbos.com/images/Inte...ateSeries4.JPG and http://www.bnrturbos.com/images/87_88stage3pic3.jpg.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that is all that is needed also. I do not have a welder nor would I be comfortable welding it myself. As such, however, I would think it should be a pretty easy job for a shop that specializes in this type of thing.

PM SOHC_Mshue on here, he had a guy do the same thing to his WRX turbo and made a custom flange area on his cast HF manifold to fit his tial 35mm wastegate. Did a great job, you shoudl look him up and ask him about it. His name is Matt SHue and his screen name is Shuebrt2 on AIM / AOL.

Yea James from Weldone over on patterson did a great job with my turbo. Not quite the same thing as you want. He just plasma cut out the whole internal gate assembly in my turbo and then welded the hole shut completely, then he modified my hf mani to accept an external wastegate. He does a great job welding just about any metal and fabricating things with metal so i'm sure he would do a great job.

Here is a pic of what he did on my manifold
