Either my radiator or hoses are leaking coolant slowly so I bought this stuff called "Stop Leak"...the directions say to flush the system and refill it with fresh coolant before pouring the stop-leak in....thing is, I don't know how to go about flushing the system...

help anyone?

 

pressure test it, then look for a leak. And if you're still going to flush it there should be a screw or somthing on the bottom of the radiator. And when pouring in the new coolant, use the funnel thing to make sure you dont have any air bubbles

 

come to my work, we do coolant flushes. it costs like around 60 bucks but you can get a discount if you say you know me

 

well 1st off you pretty close. theres a screw ontop of the thermistat. its a relieve valve. just a littel bolt. i think thats what your talking about. but this is what i would do. disconnect the bottom hose. let everything poor out.connect the hose again. put fresh water in. not tap. fill it all the way up. with rad. cap open squeeze the hose for all the air bubbles to come out. u dont want air bubbles, it will couse more problems later. let the cun run an get to temp. after u do that. drain it all out like before. use a 50/50 mix and fill it back up. put that shit in u got an call it a day. the reason why use fresh water 1st because thats cleaning all the contamintes that might be in there. BUT MAKE SURE USE FRESH BOTTLE WATER, NOT TAP.
