Yes but that is using both lots for parking and show.

Maybe it was just a bad day for everyone there but for a first experience, it completely sucked ass. However since I am an organizer for the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEETS, if marshallbc and I are able to rent out Old Dominion for one of our meets, then I will show my support and race at the event.

I went there on a Wednesday and they did in fact spray my lane with some type of sticky compound. I had lots of traction. Too much actually - I broke my trans.

i just went to o.d. last wednesday to t&t and they weren't even allowing cars with street tires to burn out in the water boxes. but then again, there isn't much reason to burnout with street tires, it doesn't really do much for them. drag radials or slicks on the other hand is another story.

*edit* with no burnout on 205/40/17 falken ziex 512's w/25psi, i pulled a 1.892 60'. there is really no need to waste your street tires doing burnouts.

I'm gonna make a trip out to OD sometime next month, so I vote for that.

Never really understood 1/8 races, it's like, ok I get it, but where's the rest of the track?

1/8 mile tracks are great for launch practice and shifting.

Nice 60. Especially on street tires. I did a 1.89 on BFG DR's there. And as I was getting better, I sheared my output shaft. What did you end up running?

The day that I attended was actually on a Saturday during an event.

The problem was that I was using slicks and skinnies the time that I was at Old Dominion. I do not race with street tires because if I am going to the track, then I am going to make the most out of the experience. Like stated above, the 1/8th is perfect for launching and shifting with the lower gears. So I was not going to waste my time and go down the track if I cant have the slicks warm for a proper launch.
