I do not race with street tires because if I am going to the track, then I am going to make the most out of the experience. Like stated above, the 1/8th is perfect for launching and shifting with the lower gears. So I was not going to waste my time and go down the track if I cant have the slicks warm for a proper launch.

nice. i ended up with a 8.5 at 82. i guess our cars are pretty even.

i ran an 8.5 but i know i can do an 8.3 or so with a better launch. i dont really use a formula i just guess really. but my "guess" for the qtr is 12.9-13.2's somewhere around there. most people with the same setup as mine do the same.
