I wonder how many drivers in Virginia are NOT aware of this law.

§ 46.2-842. Driver to give way to overtaking vehicle.

Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle. Any over-width, or slow-moving vehicle as defined by § 46.2-1081 shall be removed from the roadway at the nearest suitable location when necessary to allow traffic to pass.
§ 46.2-842.1. Drivers to give way to certain overtaking vehicles on divided highways.

It shall be unlawful to fail to give way to overtaking traffic when driving a motor vehicle to the left and abreast of another motor vehicle on a divided highway. On audible or light signal, the driver of the overtaken vehicle shall move to the right to allow the overtaking vehicle to pass as soon as the overtaken vehicle can safely do so. A violation of this section shall not be construed as negligence per se in any civil action.
IMO there need to be more "slower traffic stay right" signs on the interstate and definitely on I-64 between Newport News and Richmond!

There needs to be a huge, state wide DMV/VSP campaign over this issue. People in this area actually feel they have the right to occupy the left lane as long as they are travelling at or near the PSL. They are also the first ones to get pissed off at some one riding their ass to press the point. I've have driven from Maine to Florida, out to Texas and Washington State. Virginia, IMO, is the worst I have seen for this.

I want to put a big train cow catcher thing on the front of my F350 when travelling along I-95 and I-495.

I want to put a sticker on my windshield that I saw driving up to Maine last year in my rear view mirror. A white Maxima with MD plates had a sticker on the top of the windshield that was completely backwards but looked correct in your mirror that said, " SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT". He followed me weaving through traffic and we both pulled off to a rest area. I gave him props for it...he said he went to a sign shop and had it custom made. He told me he was following behind me because he saw my radar detector. I had to tell him it wasn't a detector....it was my Siruis receiver.
