Post pics of your ride!
After an almost month long fight with insurance,I finally settled with them and bought a new truck.
Have to get all the old-man shit off(took bugshield off before the pic),and I ordered the parts to lower it a little(3" rear,2" front). These are my least favorite factory 20" wheels, looking for a set of 07+ LT 20s.

Fuck no!After the first offer from them, which I declined, they said I had to send them a few comparable trucks currently for sale in the area to justify my price.I sent them 20.And I didn't send them all the highest priced ones either.I averaged the price of these trucks, plus the cost of tax, tags, title and the cost of the accessories I had on the old truck(excluding labor, and I had receipts for everything).I wasn't willing to pro-rate the cost of the accessories since I'd have to buy them again at full price, they were less than a year old,and in good condition. They basically told me to get fucked on that price.
When I requested to see their comparables they used to get their price, they sent me a bunch of high mileage, shitty trucks(some were from Bailey's,for example). They did add to the price to adjust for mileage difference(my truck had relatively low miles),but their method added very little value and was not in line with any other valuation method I found. They also deducted money from each truck($1,000-$2,000)to reflect what they felt would be the true sale price of each.Their prices simply didn't come close to a truely comparable truck in mileage and condition to mine.
They also refused to pay for the accessories, other than adding $130 for nerf bars(which I paid $800 for).
If I played any role in causing the accident,I'd have no issues.I feel that if you cause a wreck and have to pay some out of pocket to replace property, then so be it- that's what you get for being stupid. On the other hand, being an innocent party in a wreck, you should get exactly what you had;no more,no less. The price they offered me would have been a couple grand short of buying a comparable truck, let alone cover the DMV/state fees, and the accessories.I already paid tax,and paid the DMV fees on my truck, and I paid for all thise high-end accessories because I didn't want junk. Why should I have to take money out of my pocket to have that stuff again because your dumb bitch customer ran over me?I made sure to also tell them that I could have very well pulled some inury bullshit(like the guy in front of me did),but I didn't- I just want my property replaced!I argued back and forth for about three weeks with them, working from the adjuster up several tiers in command, and after getting them to slowly raise the offer $3k over the intial offer(but still about $1,500 short of what I needed),I was then told that was their final offer.I called my insurance company and went over my comparables and accessory prices with them. They offered to cover my asking price, but I was just really concerned with ultimately paying that difference back in premium hikes,so I really didn't want to file a claim with them.
So,I just accepted Progressive's offer.I was sick of spending 1-2 hours of my work day, almost every day for weeks on the phone and my rental was terminated with their final offer.People I've talked to who took it to the extent of court ened up getting more fucked than they already were,so I just gave in.I had to pay $2,400 out of pocket to get this truck, but it is a much higher trim level model,so I can live with that.I started looking for a replacement from the day the wreck happened, and didn't even consider getting a nicer truck just based on what they were selling for.I found this truck locally, with full service records, excellent condition, and on a whim just decided to see if I could talk them down to a price I could afford.....and it worked!

Every vehicle I've owned from the time I started driving was red until the M3,and I looked six months for a Hellrot car until I finally gave up and got the silver car.

I hate red too, but with my situation I jumped into the first TJ I could with cash in pocket.. and it was red.
Looking forward to seeing (hopefully) nerf bars removed and that thing dropped a little. They're nice trucks!

The nerf bars will stay for now,as much as I hate them.Earon can't get in the truck without them.In the future I'll be replacing them with a more factory looking step instead of the tubular nerf bar design.

Once you've lowered it, she shouldn't have a problem getting in it though!?
Good looking truck Chris! (we are the few that like red) The insurance situation sucks, but at least it all got worked out and you got into something a little better than what you had. Do you plan on keep the bed rails on it??
I usually try not to post to many pictures of my car, mostly because it hasn't changed form in 2 months but I got FB and seen where NYCE1s posted my car.. so here it is
Some progress.1" front,2" rear so far.Need new front bumpstops, then I can go 1" more front and rear.Still need to remove the ventshades and door rub strips.
