its been god knows how long and i can still see infractions on my profile page with red x's and reasons why they were given...

is it only me that sees this or do all the members of vadriven see this aswell

There's too many people on here for the staff to keep track of who got what warnings and when, so that's why the infraction system was started. Think of it as a blemish on your permanent record.

 

So these "infractions" stay there permanently? I would have though they would disappear after a year or something.

There are two aspects of an infraction: getting the infraction and the points/duration an infraction occurs. As such there are two ways to get banned, the number of infractions you have or the number of points you have.

The theory behind that is you get temporarily banned based on points, as the points expire you become unbanned. However after a certain number of infractions, regardless of points, you'd be permanently banned.

Hopefully that clears it up a little. Basically ... don't break the rules so you don't get infractions

 

Where are you supposed to see these red "X''s?

 

Recent ones should show up in your UserCP, older expired ones are visable in your Profile.

Only moderators can see other users infractions and since you don't have any so you won't see anything.
