i dont know alot about that kind of stuff but what rods is he using? im not sure how much difference in the height of the pistons is but if you use the correct rods that may fix it, dunno, anyways yeah i got the gasket if he needs it thanks

depends on the rod used. oem rod will not cause any clearance issues (pin to top is shorter on the vitara vs stock). now the d16 rod... that may cause an issue (134mm rod vs the 137mm rod). but iirc, the difference between the vitaras and stock piston is about 3mm. don't quote me on that though....

btw: oem rod is a big weak point in the engine. so it makes the use of vitaras into a waste of cash, as the amount of possible whp will stay the same.
