I'm looking to get a hand gun, something to fool around with at the range. This will be my first one so I'm not looking for anything crazy expensive but I also don't want some cheap POS. I don't know a shit-ton about guns so I'll probably have my brother in law check it out before i buy it since he collects them.

Check my thread out. I have a special edition Taurus for sale. Its definitely a solid weapon and come with lifetime warranty. I've never had any problems with it and have shot it very little. The XD's would be a nice choice for ya. I had a XD subcomp. 9mm and a friend has the 40 cal. Great guns, easy to use and hold their value if kept up and maintained. 2fast4ya has two nice guns for sale!
