wrangler lifted
that sucks bud. I want a wrangler real bad. . .but my dad told me not to buy someone else's problems. . .prime example for 4x4 vehicles with owners who "use and abuse". So I'll wait till I'm older to buy new
You are fine to buy a wrangler, just make sure it's not lifted and the owner is atleast middle aged. I screwed up and bought a lifted wrangler from a kid that works at a used car dealership. I've had three yj wranglers and my first two were in excellent shape with the stock wheels and little tires still on them. Those are the ones you need to look for.

this wrangler reminds me of the old wrangler I used to have. Was a 94 4cylinder bought from some dude that ripped me off and the thing fell apart left and right. Replaced the clutch 3 times.. transmision once.. omg i thought i would never buy a jeep ever again. have had my 99 wrangler for almost 3 years lifted no problems... when i started reading this thread i laughed at his asking price then read what the buyer had to say an i almost could have warned you to not to buy this... good luck with the jeep.. fix it sell it.. move on

Wasn't given the lug nut key and can't find a tire shop (only went to two of them) that has the same key to pull them off. Had to purchase new lug nuts with key and still trying to get the keyed lug nut off.
The tail lights were spliced together with speaker wire that is dangling on the lower outside of the Jeep and I had to cut it all out and run new wires.
When it rained, water poored in onto the floor boards from under the windshield (windshield was replaced just before I bought it but the weatherstripping was not, obviously). Had to replace the weatherstripping.
Countless bolts and screws throughout the whole jeep were loose and I've spent hours going through the jeep tightning them all down.
Total count is almost $3,000- atleast it's almost like a brand new jeep now and is going to be solid as a tank.

Jesus Christ man, I hope you didn't pay anywhere near $5800 for that thing... It might have been worth $2500. People see a lift lift and their eyes light up some times, they don't think about the 10 other mods that accompany a good lift on a Jeep that make it work well.
Tear the whole jeep apart and paint the frame and underside of the tub. Sounds like a pain in the ass but you can take the tub off and get the motor/trans/TC out in about 10 hours.
