Default Question for the truck folks...

This things been in the family since new (1984)...and while I learned to drive in it, I've always been more a car guy than a truck guy, so I figured I'd ask y'all.

Info:
188k
300ci straight 6
4spd
4x4
blahblahblah

How would it do in mud?
Sand?
And how hard would it be (and should I) consider swapping in a 302?

As illustrated it does ok when parking spaces are in short supply.

That thing looks very pretty man. I think anything should do well no matter what you drive in as long as you build it to do so.

Thanks fellas.

Next question: Should I try to POR15 the underside myself, or get a shop to do it?

And if a shop, where?

defently a very clean truck . . dunno if ya wanna get it dirty . .lol . . . 302 probably wouldn't be a hard swap if ya had a donar truck to steal the computer and stuff from but them 300 I6's are torquey . . . like someone else said all do well if ya build em

I had a 300 and I would keep it over a STOCK 302 all day long...

The 300 is a bulletproof motor and creates good torque.

Torque's about all it creates...

It takes me a good while to get up to highway speeds in that thing.
