hey there are several trails/ rock crawls around. There is the area for camp jeep in nelson county. There is a place in crozet thats pretty big and they also have a mudbog and tractor pulls at nelson fire and rescue dept. Let me know if you need anything painted here local.

people around here go hard, there are full tube chassis running around on the road , big block jeeps, 3/4 tons diesels on 40's, etc etc. I dont get into any of that stuff but I end up doing alot of metal fab. and welding to these rigs.

Yea idk how people are able to do all that stuff. I just like to have fun every once in a while to mess around. I made a hole out at this once place but so many people went and hit it and rutted it out that it now goes half way up my truck and i cant go through it. Seems like everyone that has the lifted things and that can handle all sorts of hell just ruins it for the people that cant do all that.

How about Big levels aka Stoney Run in the George Washington National Forest. If you stay on the main trail and you have decent tires you can do it without damage. I would not do it alone. A little mud and mostly rocks.

Go towards Sherando Lake, turn right on coal road go 7-miles, trail head is on left. It ends on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Bald Knob, just go through the gate. The end of the trail is easyer. It is closed during the winter.

Shoe Creek Crabtree Meadows to Alahamba. No mud just rocks and creeks. In the forest, open all year, dont go alone.
