Somehow I dont believe this.

 

You must drive with your foot through the floor everywhere you go.

I know it's been said, but this is what I think. The truck (if you plan on keeping it and don't wanna do any crazy off-roading) is worth it. If you have any doubt in your mind about keeping the truck for a while, don't buy it. I wanted a turbo diesel so bad, but I settle for a vehicle with smaller payments now no one will buy it, so I can buy my diesel.

And IFS sucks.

 

I have a superchip and I have it set on performance mode which is why I get such low mpg. Stock my truck only gets 13 city 15 highway which is still horrible.

 

I have the same thing just a diff. brand and Im on 37"s. I get better gas mileage than I did before I tuned it.

 

ok well the price just went down to 16000 today. So im thinking again about getting it. I also have a saturn now that i can drive if i need to save gas..

 

Well my truck says im getting 10.4 mpg and I beleive it because I filled it up 2 days ago and have used 1/2 tank already.

 

Go for it if you want, there nothing wrong with the truck. It has high mileage and oversized tires so you just have to think into the future about the money you will need to spend. Parts/tires/gas if you are willing to be paying for all that than get it. Chevys last long usualy but you have to start shoveling money into them once you get to high mileage. You might get to 200,000 befor you se any problems but you never know. Thats why I agree on everyone else's statements as to getting a diseal, they are bullet proof.

Thats crazy because driving the truck in my sig I average 13.8 mpg city

 

My mother has a 2002 1500 5.3l on 20'a, stock overall height tires, and gets 20 mpg.
