Im struggling to get the money together to buy my buddys truck. He is selling it because he is planning on moving.

i dont know anything about trucks i just sold my old del sol and want out of the racing so i want a truck.

More then likely a good truck. Dont take it wheelin too much, your wallet will hate you after you rebuild the front end a few times. Lose the triple shocks up front and it will ride good. For comparison, you can get into a dodge or ford diesel for that price.

 

i like the truck, except for the rims. i'd buy it for 17

For 17k, I would look for a Ford F250 diesel that is a standard height. Lifted trucks are expensive to maintain if you are going to use it for it's proper use. If it's going to be on the road 99% of the time, get a regular F250 diesel or Chevy 2500 diesal. They are strong trucks that you can run into the ground and will still keep going.

Another truck to look at are the Toyota Tacomas and 4Runners. They are another truck that has done very well proving themselves on and offroad.

 

get a tacoma, i have one and i run the hell out of it and its still going strong

 

I have a silverado and love it, I would really think hard about this one though because im dropping atleast $60 a week on gas. I agree on buying somthing thats not lifted, you dont want to be shoveling money into it. Tacoma's are nice, a couple of my friends have had them but ended up moving on to bigger and better trucks. This ones all on you bro.
