yo... go to ebay... get a 3inch body lift for like $100... you can get like a 6 inch suspension for like $800.... so there.. for $900... you can get 9inches..
Ok i have a 2wd ranger and I have helped many friends lift both 2wd and 4wd trucks, the cheapest way to lift your truck would be a 3in body lift, but that prolly wont get you as high as you are wanting beyond that you can get an expensive suspension lift or you can get 2 in add a leaves for the rear and lift coils for the front for an extra 2 in of lift, combined with the body lift thats 5in and will prolly give you enough room for 33's with the right off set on the rims.
go to offroadrangers.com and to rangerpowersports.com they have lots of info on this stuff.

i have a 99 ranger lifted 4 inches on 33x12.50s but ive worked on my buddys 90 ranger the cheepest is for sure a body lift id go with the perofrmance accesories because it comes with all the brqckets youl need if you want suspension or just want more than the body will give you procomp makes a lift for that truck or like the one guy said coil spaces and add-a-leafs work like a charm
