Default Body lift??

I am thinking of putting a 2 inch body lift on my wife’s 95 4runner v6 manual I was wondering if anyone knows of any disadvantages of going with a body lift for someone who will only do minor off roading I just want the clearance to put some 33’s on it. Thanks for the help .

Make sure its a good kit with Grade 8 bolts, don't need any body bolts sheering off. Check your fan clearance to your shroud, it can hit sometimes; and may have some bumber issues, not being lined up. With manual 4x4 engagment, somtimes the shifter tunnel needs to be cut some to allow full stick movement to get into gear. I've only put body lifts on Fords and that was the common problems with them, don't know about Toy's.

You sure you won't need more than 2" of lift to fit 33's on a 4-Runner? They may fit fine for road usage, but off-roading you may get some rub issues.

Ya, I don't think you'll even be able to street drive it with 33's and only a 2 inch body lift. Unless you're really into trimming your fenders. I've got a 95 Pickup and 33's rubbed with a 2 inch body lift, 2 inch lift blocks, and the torsion bars all the way up. You might be able to do 31's or 30's. Think it out before you start buying the parts and all that, might just be worth it to hold off and buy suspension lift and then do 33's. But hey keep us posted man. Good luck.

body lifts are a cheep way to get clearence and thats exactly what the truck is going to look like, cheep. honestly for the small amount of clearence that you need and the mild wheelin flares would be perfect you can get some really good looking flares for cheep and there an easy install. thats just my 2 cents, i hate body lifts they make you see too much frame.
