Default 98 4Runner: Where is the clutch switch?

It's the switch that requires the clutch to be fully pressed in to allow the engine to start? I don't know where this thing is!

never messed with one that new . . .check on the rod going threw the fire wall . . sometimes mounted on there . . . sometimes mounted off to the driver side the the clutch runs threw the other pedals (if that makes any sence) . . but it should be somewhere in the general area lol

are you talking about the clutch start cancel botton that you push it and you do not have to put the clutch in to start the truck...if so i wasn't aware the newer model toyotas were equipped with those

lol NO, its the clutch start switch. Now that I've found it I don't need anymore help. But, its a mechanical switch at the top of the clutch pedal that needs to be pressed to allow the vehicle to start. This is different from the neutral safety switch which comes in automatics, and is different from the clutch cancel start switch which comes in this toyota.

The clutch start switch is normally equipped in all manuals.
