04 trailblazer transmission problem
My 04 trailblazer has 4 settings on it, 2hi, 4awd, 4hi and 4low. I always drive the truck in 2 hi on the highway. Today while driving to md (250 mile trip for me) i was going around 65mph i took it off cruise control and hit the gas and there was a pop sound and when i gave it gas the truck wouldnt accelerate and made a grinding noise. i start to slow down and then i put the truck int 4awd and the truck seemed find, i had 50miles to go so i took the chance in stop and go traffic and it made it. I get home and put it back into 2hi and the truck is fine, it accelerates fine and so does 4awd. no noises are coming from the truck and no lights are on the dash, its like nothing ever happened. im only here for 2 days and i have to drive back to va beach witch is another 250miles trip and i dont know if i should take the chance. if anyone can help that would be great, thanks.

Re: 04 trailblazer transmission problem
I would take a look at your transfer case fluid and make sure you hve some and it is in good condition. It is not going to hurt it to drive it back in AWD if you have to.

Re: 04 trailblazer transmission problem
sounds like a transfer case problem, but I know the trailblazers are having transmission problems. my neighbor had 30K on his tranny and the deleatship replaced it for free and my friends parants have one and theirs crapped out. Chevy hasn't stepped up to make a recall, but if the problem persists I would take it to the stealership
