when everyone use to meet up at sully plaza (7-11,backyard grill, bank of america etc) and we would run right there on centreville road from like 9-4 w/out cops harassing..if they would come everyone one would chill, then after they left the fun would start again...sigh the memories..weathers getting good again..i wish we had spots like these again...there were few ricers then maybe a burnout or two here and there..but we never had problems with idiots or accidents back then...good times

I can remember when people raced on V street in DC. The big boys would trailer in their cars early Friday night and run for slips or cash and they would race on Friday night, Sat. night, Wed. night and even on Sundays afternoons. Some of the guys that use to run were cops.

I can also remember racing near Childrens Hospital and on MLK and near the Shell station out on Rt. 50. We would run out there until almost sun up and no one ever bothered us.

Those my friend were the days.

Yes Metro, Miss those days. I think the best race ever there was the gts Viper getting smoked by the 94 hatch 3 time in a row......... Damn that hatch was fast as $hit. I would love to find a spot like that....

My cousin used to go to V street all the time. Before my time though. But he'll still bring up something about it occasionaly. damn i wish i could drive then.

There HAS to be some spot like that still thought. In the entire Northern VA, DC, MD area. I just don't see how it's possible to not have one spot like that anymore. Maybe one day. probably not. but at least I can dream...

There were so many times from V street that I remember like the time this kid from NY brought down this supercharged 5.0 with no hood. He claimed he was running 10's. He got smoked 5 times for cash, then finally he lost to another guy in a turbo MX-6, at the end of the run he didn't turn around and headed directly for the RT 50 exit.

I also remember seeing a guy get smashed by a car because the dumbass Honda driver was acting stupid. Right after that they put in the first set of speed bumps.

Long gone, long gone.
