Northern VA, we don't have law enforcement officers, we have traffic enforcement officers. If you want to catch real criminals, MPDC and PG are the way to go(both are highering too).
FFX is one of the highest paying PD's in the country, but it is difficult to get in. State Police, the pay kinda sux, but you have the option of transfering to another region of the state where the cost of living is way less.
I would also try Loudoun, the pay is ok but, they need officers bad right now.

Incorrect. FFX is One of the EASIEST TO GET INTO. They only require a GED or HighSchool Diploma... and no felony convictions. And no drug use within the last year.
And when ur up for ur interview, U take a 3 hour test, and its 90 questions, and all u have to pass is 57 out of 90, and It is a Pass or Fail test, if u get 57 correct you go onto the next section. Which is a personal interview with the background detective. Now everything u say here is recorded and if what u forget to say and is found out and it is bad is a demerit to your overall score. So if u smoked pot year and a half ago, Mention it. And so when u goto ur Lie detector test and ur asked if u smoked in the last year and a half better mention it. Mention any tickets u have gotten. They really dont care if u have had Wreckless driving tickets shows ur not scared to drive. Jus no DUI's.
FFX County Police Academy is 6 months, and U get paid Full Salary which starting is 46.5k, and it is Adjusted if u have any of the 5 criteria, Second Language, Prior Police Experience, Military, College, HighSchool Diploma.
And its M-F 9-330. And If ur accepted in Feburary and the Next Academy Class starts in September. U are paid ur Full Salary up untill the Academy and still paid during school. And you get access to the range / other things. So u can brush up on ur skills before academy, and may become someone's bitch ie: cleaning your Captains Cruiser.
And FFX's pay Schedule is, every 2 weeks, but u actually work 1 whole week. usually Monday, Tuesday, thursday, Friday of one week, and the Second week, the other days. And your allowed up to 40 extra hours of Overtime a week. So if you work as a Traffic Controller for ur local church on the weekend, and u only work 15 minutes, its a Mandatory 3 hours u get paid at 45$ an hour. so u can essentially double your yearly salary.
VA State Troopers have less pay, and shittier hours
