Yea i work for Verizon and no BULLSHYT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! the shit is good i have compared with cox and or comcast plenty of times. and its no comparison at all. alot of our customers like it because its like having a central office on the outside of your house. im not tryin to sound like a salesman or anything but if they offer it to you try it out. the only thing that sucks is the fact that you have to supply power to the fiber terminal on your house. we give you a battery backup unit which only works for telephones, (if hard wired not cordless) but shit if your power is done your not gonna be using internet anyway. Hit me up if ya'll got anymore questions on it.

1) should i get the 5 or 15 mbps down plan?
2) if i currently have cox, what do i need to use FIOS? i have my wireless router, router, and motorola surfboard modem.
3) what else is needed?
4) it says installation is free but for the primary computer. that should be fine though if i use a wireless router right?
LOL, +1.
How many speeds you got, fast or slow pump? I think you need some Viagra.

If it's available in your area, I say go for it! My boy in Herndon has twice the HD channels and 3 times the pay channels that we have (cox). Unfortunately, Verizon told us FIOS wasn't available in our area.
had cox for 5yrs - started at 2mbps, then they upgraded everyone to 5mbps a couple of years ago. it was great for me, i never had any problems - except having to disconnect and reconnect the router after like a month or so because of dead packets stuck in its ram (thus bogging down the router).
once fios came out, see ya cox. i've had fios for about 1.5yrs now, since it came out in my area. i was the 2nd to have it and speeds have been constant and great. i've never had any down time since i've had it. i was on the 15mbps plan ($10 more, for 3 times the speed, why not?) speeds were great, i wasn't downloading as much so i decided to save me the $10 a month and get the 5mbps plan. i recommend fios to anyone, it's great. i had a power outage a couple of months ago, went for like 1hr, i decided to see if it was true, that the backup battery will still keep the fios working, during a power outage. well it did - hooked my laptop up to the wall. i was surprized.
when fios tv came out, i got it, i had cox digital cable before that, cox cable wasn't too good. fuzzy channels, once in a while it'd die. fios tv has been flawless. video on demand is great, their prices are great, dvr is a must.
since i've had fios products, i haven't had any complaints. i'd recommend it to anyone.
