I call BS. Because that was me that outran the helicopter. And I can't say that I've been as fortunate as to get off by the officer himself. One time, right when I moved back from NC, I got pulled for doing 80 in a 55. Showed the trooper my NC license and he dropped it to 74 in a 55. Went to court and the 2 troopers were attending a funeral. Everybody plead not guilty to get it postponed, I plead guilty because the trooper cut me enough slack. And the judge dropped it (honesty paid off lol). I almost did the "shout in a fit of joy" in the courtroom. But that would have been ghey. So I didn't.

Thats awesome I got out of 4 tickets today as well because my GF's Uncle is captain of the FFX police, the officer was like Illegal tint, illegal exhaust, no cat and no front plate and I threw the name out their and he told me he used to have a corvette with no front tag and he knows it sucks and he complimented my car and said it was gorgeous and as well to have a nice day ,I then called my gf up after that to tell her I loved her.

Got let out of - 80 in a 55 and 85 in a 55. Both for being Military, at the time.
The first one I just had to let a Maine State trooper talk to me for about 20 minutes about his army days. He had asked why I had VA tags and ME drivers licence. I just said I was military and he assumed army. I never bothered to tell him I was Air Force.
The second one this old as hell, female, MD State trooper got me in a really well placed speed trap coming out of the 895 tunnel. I complemented her on her speed trap and she thought that was funny. She also asked why I had VA tags and a ME drivers licence. I told her I was military and she said "if you can prove that I'll let you go because the Maryland State Troopers support our military personnel."
The other really lucky time, was on I95 in Maine. I had my zx3 with pretty much every bolt-on under the sun + cams (it was still slow as balls). Some douchebag in a CRX kept trying to race me, so I give him 3 honks and put maybe 4 car lengths on him and shut down. Dude is pissed! He keeps yelling and honking to run again. As we come to the bottom of this hill, I honk three times, gun it and let off. He just keeps on it and as he comes over the hill he slams on his brakes. I'm doing maybe 5mph over. I crest the hill and BAM! 6 State Troopers, 3 on either side. They are yelling at the dude to pull over and they don't even give my car a second look. I still almost shit myself because of what could have happend. Priceless.

It was the biggest, most well placed speed trap I've ever seen. The had probably 5 cars pulled over, in a line and were writing tickets. One of the cops was just chillin in his cruiser, probably waiting for somebody to just keep going, because they were waving people over.

Wow you guys have some interesting stories. I don't have anything like that. I've talked my way out of 3 exhaust tickets though and then decided to change my exhaust to something more stockish so I wouldn't get messed with so much anymore.

the cops come to my house regularly becuase of parties but nothing ever happens. They really cant do anything because we are over 21 and it our house. I remember the same kinda stuff hapening in high school and we always thought it was crazy that the cops let us off. Now looking back on it. You have to be a fucking prick to arrest some kids for having honest safe fun.

i just thought of another time i got lucky.
I was in manassas picking up a HOT ASS russian girl named Olga. She barley spoke english. (perfect lol) I was with one of my good friends and we were drunk as hell at about 3 AM. After picking up Olga from her house i was stoped at a light when a LS integra pulled up next to me. The chick driving looked and asked it my car was a stock ls and kinda chuckled. I said yea (It was actually a turbo gsr with ls wheels and shaved wing and emblems) the light turned green and i took off spining thru 1-3rd gears. Before i knew it there were blue lights. I stared to run but my buddie in the back seat started freaking out so i pulled over. The first thing the cop said was "im glad you pulled over bc there was no way i was catching you". NICE!!!
side note (the cop today said the same shit)
but anyway, I gave the cop my info and was convinced he was taking me to jail for DUI. My friend in the back seay was bitching the whole time about having to piss. That pissed me off bc the whole time all i could say was "im going to jail, im going to jail". My friend ended up pissing in a McDonalds cup and dumping it on the ground in front of the cops. Olga kept feeding me candy and the cop came back and started talking about how his kids race Jr dragsters and love it. He ended up giving me a street racing ticket but let me keep my car and never even asked about being drunk.
