no, its not. shooting with intent to injure/maim/kill is a felony. shooting someone in self defense is legal, however, there has to be a threat on your life.
shoot someone that is breaking into your house, and you will go to jail. i dont care if they got a gun, if someone is breaking in and you see them and shoot, it is illegal, and with the judicial system overrun with asshole greedy lawyers, you will more then likely wind up with a lawsuit on your hands.
it all depends on how things go. if you "feel your life is threatened" shoot. however, do not shoot someone to kill. you must "rid the danger" tell a cop you "had to kill them" and you are facing first degree murder. if you "had to eliminate the threat" it was self defense.
that being said, bait the car and hope they steal it. do not try to take the law into your own hands, it will backfire most of the time on you. a car can be replaced, your life cannot.
there seems to be a large amount of car thefts in the NOVA area from what i see, and i am very glad that shit dont happen around here. i understand how you feel when a car gets stolen, or something gets stolen from it (i had a bunch of shit stolen from my car when i was at NADC from my car) but dont try revenge shit.

thwarting a theft may help (anti theft devices and such) but if someone wants something bad enough, they will do whatever it takes to get it.
bait the car, get an inexpensive GPS tracker (there was a thread on here about some kids watch thing that would seem nice) and do whatever you can to try to get them to steal it. if its a group doing it and you can get them caught, it may stop. or at least figure out who is doing it.

You gotta love our judicial system. If someone breaks into your house and steals your money and jewelry, you can't do shit about it. Our judicial system is fucking horrible.

first neone here ever hear of lowjack? second if a thief breaks into your house your supposed to leave and then call the cops. "BUT" if he's blocking the only exit and he has a gun you can shoot to kill. But if he lives he might say the gun was yours( 
). had a friend go to pick up his wife from work and just happened to pull up as the place was getting jacked. so he waited for the guy to come out, also as the guy left he fired into the ceiling, when he finally got out heshot him in the leg w/ a 44 and put the gun to the back of his head till the cops showed up. "even though the guy was leaving he posed a threat to society" so he was cool. the cops even asked y he let him live. and it turns out all the guy had was a cap gun and he tried to sue in court cause that's all he had. The judge told the robber "you wanted people to believe the gun was real and he did. therefore he was justified in shooting you" guy was sentenced to 8yrs i think.

America's judicial system really does suck. Fuck this innocent until proven guilty bullshit. If the person is caught in the act, then you can't do something about it? We should adopt the Middle Eastern countries judicial system. You fuck with someone, you get fucked with even more.

My entire interior is stripped out of my car and I have a female pitbull thats bigger then 90% of males in my car hahaha.
