I managed to clock 300rwhp and run 12s in a car that weighs 3400lbs or more, thats not quite so bad. I also did it without even cracking open a valve cover or using any forced induction.
No, I understand I am just playing. It seems that a V8 always has good # for low power. I need slicks and more Tq, I only have 280lbs. The car is great on the highway?

This sounds more like a Hyundai/Kia thing to do than a domestic thing to do.

Ya thats the only bad part about having a turbo, you don't get much tq. Life is full of trade offs though.

With my cam/heads swap, I should have a bunch more pull on the highway. Before I seemed to pull to about 120mph or so and then it was bleh after that. I mean it pulled but not like it does in the rest of the powerband. I have quite abit of torque so I think thats why V8s do better even though we have lesser hp numbers. Sometimes thats a bad thing though if your not running sticky enough tires.

no, thats the bad thing about having a 4 cylinder. turbo makes plenty of torque vs. comparable options on the same car.
