if he has two sideview mirrors he can have what ever he wants on the two rear windows and back glass.

(BTW...its generally 5%, just look at a K9 unit. the dogs dont like alot of heat, so they are well tinted and have auto fans and window rolldown units too. just in case you wanted to know)

[QUOTE=Boxer4PSI]Technically, this "democracy" is a "republic" if you look at the definition of both terms.

Virginia is a communistwealth. Kids, didn't you learn a long time ago that the police are above the law?

Bah, they aren't above the law. Everytime they get cocky, just go call the ACLU. That will put them in their place.

The stupid thing is they write all these BS tickets to generate revenue. If we eliminated half the cops we don't need, our tax dollars should cover it.

To serve and protect....MY ASS

take your ass to the local PD, and fill out an application. when you see the bullshit that most cops put up with for 23k a year, and what all they actually do, then you can bitch.

Never said they didn't have a tough job and get paid shit. If you don't believe there are just some out there for revenue, you are only fooling yourself.

If they were there only to serve and protect they wouldn't have time to mess with petty BS like exhaust, window tint, etc, tickets. They'd be stopping more drunk drivers, finding some of these low-lifes snatching our children and many other time worthy duties. Not some stupid shit because of my exhaust note or my car sits too low.

So back at you: STFU

on that note: why would they only enforce certain laws? laws are done for a reason, if you dont like the LAW then fight it, not the cop giving you the ticket. are some of the laws in VA stupid? yes. however, almost every law regarding motor vehicles is done for a reason.

like i have said several times before, lowering, exhaust, and tint laws are on the books for a reason. some may be a little excessive, but there is a just reason for having them (other then to make people think they are being harrassed)

and oddly enough....most every time i have to explain why there are certain laws on the books, its in NOVA forum.

again, if you dont like the LAWS, then dont just bitch about them. do something. example: HB1295. got tabled due to lack of support. go figure.

and FYI-state police (which is more then likely the unit that is unmarked, since it was on a major thoroughfare) does NOT deal with criminal violations primarily. they deal with MOTOR VEHICLE violations. speeding, improper vehicles, etc. the DOSP was started in 1913 (i think) to set standards for vehicles and drivers on VA highways. that job used to be done by the DOT.

murders, rapes, robbery, etc is taken care of by the local jurisdiction.......not the state. state police does get involved, but the main focus of them is motor vehicles and such forth.

Yeah, State police are more like highway parents.
They deal with speeding, reckless, accidents, abandoned cars, motorists having trouble etc.

The reason you are always doing a law explanation in these forums is because people in NOVA slept thru their Driver's Ed class and their High School Civics class that teaches them all these basic laws. This hurt us in HB 1295 because nobody really knew how to go about correctly contacting their representatives to support the bill. Also, the most outspoken people were under the age of 18. If you can't vote, congressmen don't care about what you have to say. Also, I said it once, and I'll say it again. SEMA doesn't have the necessary power and connections in Virginia to lobby successfully for the automotive enthusiast.

Tint is a justified law. Cops can't see into your car if the tint is too dark, which creates a risk and danger for them. Whenever you do that to a cop, the cop will act hostile towards you b/c of the risk they face.

Fairfax County Police does patrol I-66, which is uncommon b/c typically county police leave the interstates to State Police control for speed enforcement and such.

As for exhaust, well I will say this. At my undisclosed NOVA location, I CONSTANTLY hear people going up and down the main road behind my place hitting VTEC, shooting their BOVs as they redline the car, running thru the gears. Try this....DONT BRING YOUR CAR OVER 3000 RPMS. I, and other people I know don't redline our cars or always go WOT, and we have no problems with Fairfax's finest.

If you need to hit VTEC and go WOT to get the necessary power out of your car to get up to 50-65mph speed limits, YOUR CAR SUCKS AND NEEDS AN ENGINE REBUILD.
