Exclamation MD State Inspections

Anyone in the area know of a good place to do state inspections? I just moved to MD from VA and have window tint...

Thanks!

Yah I just moved to Frederick and found out what a pain in the ass it is to register your car when you have a lien....

You probably need to be more specific about where in MD for people to point you in the right direction...

I live in MD so I can give you an idea of how inspection works in this state.

First off, we are EXTREMELY different from VA in regards to inspection. In VA you have to get an inspection every year.

In MD, you get an inspection once you register your car. That is it. Only thing that gets inspected every two years is your emissions. And that is done in a state administered facility, not a private garage.

MD tint laws are more lax then VA. In MD, you can have 35% tint all around (unlike VA's 50/35 split I think).

If you are looking for a hookup, you shouldn't have to worry about getting one. MD laws are by far more lax then VA when it comes to vehicle inspection. If you fail a MD vehicle inspection, then something is seriously wrong with your car and it would be in your best interest to get it repaired. Also, MD cracks down on shady inspectors like crazy. MSP are always going around to dealerships and garages nailing shady inspectors left and right.

PM me if you need more info about how to get everything squared away with Maryland MVA (we call it MVA instead of DMV).

As long as you didn't do any shitrigging on the swap or turbo install, and you have a cat, you should pass inspection without a problem.

Emissions it depends. Is OBDII on the engine?? Answer this question and I will be able to talk about emissions.

The way that county is growing development wise, you will have it in a few years, so don't worry.

Nope, everything is clean, and it will have a cat on for emissions. Its an OBDI.

Mike ive been in MD since april (Ocean City) till just a few weeks ago and i still have a house down there, but right now im living in Fairfax but working in Rockville, so i have a maryland address still and a maryland drivers lisence so i figured i should regester the car in maryland to keep VA cops from pulling me over on the daily and keep the points down.
