Does anyone else in Nova notice that there has been lightning like every night since thursday? My neighbor was telling us about how he saw the lightning hit one of our neighbors pools(no one was home at their house at the time), we took a look at it and it fried all the lights inside the pool as well as some other damage I forget what exactly, and I was standing outside just now finishing up an oil change and it all of a sudden started drizzling, then suddenly lightning hit like right next to me literally. the thunder happened right afterwards too and it was enough to make me jump back with the oil and spill oil all over my engine bay(was not using funnel lol). does anyone know whats up with this shit? reminds me of war of the worlds every time my power goes out lol.

^ I know what you mean but this is every night for 4 nights in a row and its really fast too for some reason. right now there is thunder+lightning every 3 seconds. it seems like its getting closer...lol. the first night I actually noticed it was thursday and it was really bad. me and my bro had a bunch of people over and the powere went out but everyone just stuck around to check out the storm and get drunk. the power never came back on till like 5am.

edit: just went outside and i counted the seconds between the lightning and thunder, and its like 1.5 second apart, does anyone know how far away that is? i forget is it like a second for a mile?

We're supposed to have t-storms tomorrow as well. Its actually starting to piss me off a little bit.

 

yeah the power going out every night and having to walk around with flashlights thing is more than a little bit irritating. i'm surprised it hasn't gone off yet haha.

 

Mine has already gone off once tonight, but only for a few minutes. It was right at the end of Conan the Barbarian too... AHNOLD was getting ready to punish some infidels.

lol glad my power didnt go out, not todays lightning but the other days lighting was so bad that it was epic crazy end of the world scenario "war of the worlds" type lighting.....was badass....was just sitting out on my deck watching it flash like every second....was so cool. My dog was freaking out though.....so i let her stay inside hah
