yeah, you're talking about thursday? that was the worst i've seen it since i went to CA.

 

I think how youfigure out the distance of lightning is you start counting seconds when the lightning hit and stop when you hear thunder. You then take that number and divide by 3. So! If it took 1.5 seconds from the sight of lightning to the thunder, the bolt stuck about a half mile away.

I hope the storm is heading to Chesapeake! I love sleeping through thunderstorms.

 

Lighting really fucks some shit up. One of the contractors I work for is a restoration company that only does insurance claims. I've got a few houses in the area to Fix or re-wire. It's not really a joke, itll burn the roof off of your house in no time and then the damage from the water and smoke ruins everything else.

 

Yea if you guys have been in the area in the last 10 years you have deff seen some changes.. each summer storms get worst and the winters get warmer and yea... so i think by the time we all die this place will be fucked or starting to get fucked
