Well, one of my friends, also a tenant to my house was incarcerated yesterday for 10 months and 5 years probation... on possession/dealing marijuana. He was caught with 3lbs or something on him... it was his first offense and before ya'll judge him, he comes from wealthy family, great guy, kind, and very open when it comes to spending on others. We dont know why he did it... but what can he do to get out earlier? His lawyer filed for work-release program and right now he's in the holding cell until Tuesday before paperwork can process. Is there a good behavior or something? He's in FFX

Damn that sux, he will be real bored. Did he have a good lawyer. I know a few people that have been caught with more and didn't ger any jail time. (not just weed either) I know a couple of kids that got caught with 2 pounds on federal property and got 3 years probation.

For 3 lbs it is probably a felony. He will do 80% unless he gets on work release and then they reduce it but it depends on the locality for how much they will reduce it.
