How to talk to a buddy locked up in Fairfax?
Well a buddy of mine recently tried to call me after being locked up for about a month, he said something like theres a number they give you when our convo was up(he only had 30sec's of freetime they gave him) and i thought i memorized it but didnt. Im an idiot lol should have wrote it down, but my question to you guys that might have some experience is what is this number to call, which he mentioned i could pay like a buck or 2 for like 30min's to talk to the guy? He's going away for a long time, and this guy was my best buddy growing up.
It was like some 1800 number, some service to talk to imates through phone if you pay some fee monthly.
Can anyone help me out?

Good call, thanks!
Edit: Ok found it!
For those interested and if this ever comes up again here's the number, and apparently its something new.

Yes. Upon admission, inmates are allowed reasonable access to phones to make official and personal outgoing phone calls. Upon classification and transfer to an assigned housing area, inmates are allowed to make personal collect phone calls (local and long distance). Inmates are allowed to make free local official calls to their attorneys, probation and parole officers, bonding agent, and some community agencies.
NEW! Friends and family of inmates can establish a PRE-PAID COLLECT ACCOUNT online to receive calls from the Adult Detention Center and/or the Pre-Release Center. probably got to write him, he has to put you on his list and he only gets 10 friends and family members allowed on the list. then it depends on your criminal history if you will pass or not.. most likely you cant call him unless he has a cell inside
edit nm.. its still similar..
i had to do 30 days in fairfax. Most of the times you can't call out because the number they assign you does not work. My number they gave me did not work so when i got out i could not call anyone to come scoop me up.
anyways, i am glad i got that experience behind me.
