Default How to retrieve your stolen car from PG County!!

This is a step by step guide of retrieving your stolen shell from PG County. This would have saved a lot of time had I known the process.

Step one: Have a honda/acura get stolen anywhere in VA.

Step two: Call police and insurance company.

Step three: Wait for the call that your car has been found in Prince Georges County.

Step four: Plan your trip carefully to the new "mexico" of the north east. I took 495 to 295 to the 410 Hyattsville Exit. Drove down 410 and took a left on Route 1 which is called Baltimore Ave at that point. The police station and my tow company were just a few blocks down.

Step five: Bring Registration/Title and your picture ID. If you have neither you will not get your car back. I'm serious, don't make the trip with your insurance card with vin # thinking that it's going to be enough to get your car back. Didn't happen for me, I had to make another trip and my info was in the car. Tow company collected the info for me the next day but it was a complete wasted effort. Oh, and tow company offices can close, so get your times right.

Step six: Take above info to the PG County Police Station. 5000 Rhode Island Ave, which is Route 1 down the road from the University of Maryland. They are there 24 hours a day.

Step seven: Get the "Release Form" from the police so you can have your vehicle back.

Step eight: Bring this document to the tow company that has your vehicle. A&T Towing had mine. Fortunately, the main office is 4331 Gallatin Rd which is two blocks from the Police station.

Step nine: Process all documents releasing your car.

Step ten: Go to the lot and find your shell. (I noted two other four door civics (red, blue, no engines or wheels, and one GSR, no engine or wheels, along with my car, no engine, wheels, suspension, seats, stereo etc!!)

Step eleven: Remove any personal affects the thieves left behind (all of my punk/hardcore cds were left behind, but if you have a rap or reggaeton collection forget about it)

Step twelve: Call your insurance once the release has been processed and they will tow it back to VA. Progressive has a lot in Springfield.

Step thirteen: Vehicle inspection at the lot and time for photos of your shell and the big empty holes where significant parts of your car was.

Step fourteen: Haggle for your check. Enjoy your new Integra and vow to protect even the beater better next time.

just keep an eye out in the rockville area you'll find your parts they take the car's and dump them in pg county and throw a car cover over it

there is a house off 28 and viers mill that has a few honda civic coupe's and they are known big time in the area for taking car's......

Been there done that, I had a swapped and boosted EK hatch back in 01'-03' (very uncommon back then) had it stolen twice and found in PG county, the second time I just left it at the tow yard.
