Default Getting a new car inspected ????

Well last nite i went with my brother to pick up his new to him 97 M3, Well apparently we noticed that we needed to get the safety inspection done. Since the car hasnt been registered yet(it will be this week) Does he need the registration to have the car safety inspected. Or can we just take it to a place that will inspect it without the registration. I cant remember if we needed the registration card.

I thought the same thing

Purchased the car in MD to save money overall and on the processing fee's, etc.

Got a ticket same day, car in the street.
$25 pay me out, but still, stealership was wrong.

Once I have registered my vehicle in the state of Virginia, how long do I have before my vehicle must be inspected?

Once you have registered a vehicle with the Division of Motor Vehicles in the state of Virginia, it must be inspected immediately; there is no grace period.
