They went into bars and saw people drinking then when the people walked outside they were charged iwth drinking in public and people were pissed abouit it so they stopped and i beleive those charges were stopped but they will sit in parking lots outside of bars and wait to watch you drive away. I don't see any laws changing soon because we have a crackpot for a governor who has made all our laws worse than the previous one, especially driving related.
As long as we have money we will be harassed, and the way the system is set up, I don't see anything changing for a LONG time. I'll be in NC for a good 3/4 of the year for the next 4 years though, so have fun.

That story is somewhat correct. They didn't go into Jimmy's and ask him to shut down. They would just go in the bar, scope the scene and if you looked intoxicated, they would then ask to speak to you outside..(mind you they are in plain clothes) and once you step outside, they hem you up for drunk in public. This has happened at Champps as well and in one case, the victim had only been there for 25 mins. and had 1 beer. Fuckin entraping bitches.
