Default Driving on Suspended!!!!!!

i got a ticket on Sat night for driving on suspended, this how it went.

Coming out of Westridge area, off Old Bridge Rd. Doing 25 in a 25mph zone, its 2am. The cop was sitting off to the side wit his lights off. I come by and he cuts his headlights on and follows me. So i see him behind me, nothing big. Tags are valid, exhaust is legal, tint is legal,so is the height of the car. So he hits the blue and red lights pulls me over. He comes to the car saying "You know why i pulled you over". i was like "No Sir". "Your tags lights are out".................o......................k???.. ............So he says let me see ur license and registration. I told him i have my registration but i dont have my wallet. So i got a ticket for Driving on Suspended, now the reason my shit is suspended i ahvent paid off my fines yet......800bux....what should i do?

Pay your fines and stop driving until you have a valid license.

P.S. - Your insurance is about to skyrocket.

why would his insurance go up?? you cannot prepay the suspeneded fine, anytime you get a ticket for a license issue you HAVE to go infront of the judge. what will probably happen is that when you go infront of the judge tell him that u did not know that ur license was suspended and that you have paid your fines and got ur license back... other wise technically he could give u jail time or another serious fine. hard to tell though

Hell yea... My wife was drivin wid a suspended license... Insurance went from $115/month for a del sol and 94 hatch to something like $200/month. And that's just liability... sucks. I was thinkin about going to another insurance company and just tellin' them I'm single... but dunno if they'd find out or not. =T Probably would.

if you pay your fines, and get your physical copy of you license back before the court date, you could just show it to the judge and you will be pardoned. Thats what happend to me, it was an in and out thing.

Because that is a serious surchargeable offense to insurance companies. If he has to file an SR22, it will be even worse for a long time. But I think you only have to do that for drug/alcohol charges and lapse of insurance coverage.

They will require a copy of your previous policy and (unless the underwriter is a moron) will notice that your wife was listed as a driver...indicating that you are married. Insurance fraud is risky business. And FYI...all insurance companies share information. Don't fuck yourself.

That is my recommendation as well.
