Its banned a in NYC and I think Washington state. Just wear a nicotine patch to reduce your cravings. Thats what clubbers do.

its banned in cali to, i went out there went to a couple clubs and every club, half the club is outside crowded in this tiny smokin section totally whack

 

That will never happen with the way VA and Tabacco are...they go hand in hand.

Arizona is the same way, you can get fined a good deal for smoking within 10-15 feet of an entrance.

 

A non-smoking section in a restaurant is like a non-peeing section of a pool.

 

Its stupid to do it here in VA BC of the cold ass wheather....See in Cali its straight..80's during the day and always high 60's to low 70's so standing outside to smoke is all good..but here with the fvckin wind and the cold ass temps..Its really going to dampen the DC club scene..I smoke, but with the ban, I won't be planning much trips to DC until the wheather gets better....

Damn...I can't even imagine going clubbing in DC and not being able to light up in VIP lounge or even at the Bar.

You are a "fukkin idiot citizen." Fenty had nothing to do with the ban. If you had done any research you will see the bill was passed last year for enactment this year.

There are still places you can smoke, namely cigar bars and hookah bars. You have to be able to prove a significant amount of your business pre-ban was based on smoking and that it would negatively impact your livelihood to no longer allow smoking in your establishment. No clubs, to my knowledge, have been able to prove it thus far. You also have to pay a higher % of tax.

If you still want to smell like hell after walking out of a club, you are more than welcome in Baltimore or VA.

 

smoking in public places is also banned in ohio. most bars havent enforced it yet until the written law comes out.
