"cool" jobs? Hmm
I'm tellin you, come to On The Border in Tyson's Corner, everyone there is really laid back and chill, including the managers. We're always in need of servers, if you wanna work a shit-load of hours, they'll set you up. I've seen lots of the servers take home over $200 in tips in one night. Plus, in summer we get even busier than we already are.
When it's not busy all we do is dick around and throw tortilla dough at each other :P
...plus you get big discounts on kick-ass food

You got your MCSA/MCSE?
How much do you make?
I've done some CCNA stuff (first 2 semesters) and am studying to get a degree in Information Technology and Engineering at GMU, with a focus in networking (maybe a minor in business.) To date most of my specialized work has been in sound design and sound reinforcement, I used to DJ with a friend - did the school dances, a wedding, etc. I'm starting to do larger stuff now (concerts and stuff.)
Some day I'll get to dick around in front of my laptop in a little room with 200 servers and a hardcore air conditioning system
On the border sounds awesome, and I'd jump at that in a second if the whole thing didn't seem so daunting. Memorizing an entire menu, seating areas, I mena what if you forget about a table or something.. damn.
Convince me.

you really don't have to memorize the whole menu, although after a little while you'll memorize it anyway. All you really have to know is which things on the menu come with a choice of beans. And anyway, the menu is easy to memorize, I pretty much know it all, and I'm a host. There really aren't that many types of mexican foods. :P
And don't worry about forgetting seating areas, all you have to know are which tables you have for that night.
They give you a little less than a week of training, and about half of that is following around one of our better waiters/waitresses and helping them out...shit like that.
And finally...everyone on the staff that speaks decent english all go out and just party every weekend...hell, even the managers come sometimes.
Overall, easy, fun place to work...and you make good money too
