"cool" jobs? Hmm
I just moved to Alexandria (like braddock road and little river turnpike area.) I'm thinking about working at the local Best Buy but I've heard mixed things about working there. What kind of pay can I expect, what about discounts? Anyone have better ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.
expect them to be fucking bitches about hiring unless you'e a chick. they interviewed me 3 times then said they were going to call me to tell me when my first day of work would be and after they didn't call i went in there and they were like "oh we decided not to hire any more people"
apparently the hot new method of dealing with turning down employees is to tell them they got the job then just avoid contact till they get pissed off and move on, i've seen this happen to several people several places lately. shitty if you ask me.

I'll probably get the job, I'm an IT major at GMU and took CCNA (cisco computer networking) courses my senior year in HS. I've also done DJ stuff and work at events production on campus doing concerts or whatever sound related events the school needs covered.
Who knows..
Who knows..

well this is how best buy works, 8/hr starting and u get up to a 50cent raise after 3 months. As for discounts u get 5% added to what best buy buys it from the manufacturer for, about 50-65% off car stereo stuff, and some stuff no discount, some stuff up to 90% discount, depends on what the item is (obviously). As for working atmosphere, some places are cool, some the managers are kinda bitchy and on ur ass. Although if your looking for a high paying job, not career, but jus a simple job, The Container Store ( www.thecontainerstore.com ) pays $12/hr starting if your 18 or older, $9/hr starting if your under 18.
