If you want to get TRUE sponsorship this is the best way to do it:

1. Spend your money at ONE shop. Work with that shop to build your car, buy parts etc. Go to their door make large purchases, talk to the owner, repeat. Let them know what your plans are for your car and tell them that you are looking for sponsors.

Most guys will randomly call up or write shops they have never spent a dime at or talked to before. Why in the hell would they want to give away merchandise to someone they don't know regardless of how many shows you won in your area. Even though you may have a nice car or a fast one, how do they knoe that you aren't a complete asshole or worse yet an idiot with money that doesn't know the difference between a radiator cap and an oil cap. If they put their name on your car then everyone associates you with them....a quick way to ruin a companies rep in an area.

2. When you do go to car shows, make sure you seek out the sponsor of the show and talk to them. Make sure he or she knows you and your car. Attend as many of the shows that they sponsor as possible. When people see you win, know you are an ok person and your car is fast or nice looking it's much easier to want to assosciate your company with that person. Everybody likes to associate with winners.

Sorry for all the noob questions...
try your local tire shops. it might sound crazy, but there are a lot of managers and owners that are looking for new ways to get buisness and that is good exposure for them if you can convince them. let them know how much you participate, show them that you ahve an interest and strive to do better, and im sure someone will hook you up. its all about how you present it to them, they really dont care about a set of tires here and there... thats basically free to them. you just need to offer them something in return so either be number one or get creative in the way you talk

This is not a full sponsorship. It's only a partial sponsorship where you get discounts on certain stuff. For example. I just ordered yokohama parada spec-2's for 70$ a tire. So it does add up. I don't know how they work their stuff out or if they sponsor autocross. I could check if you want me to. I'm not here to say that "Hey I'm fucking sponsored, my car is the shit" I was just asking if anyone else was interested in a partial sponsorship too. If so you could email me. After a years contract they will reevaluate you and if they want, you could either get another partial sponsorship or a full sponsorship.

sounds just like the RacerX motorsports/motorex & getsponsorsed bs...I found that out 2 yrs ago. get your $80 to open the "wholesale account" and then send you a list of companies,no prices, and there sales email and order # but never get back to you or return calls, if you finally get through to the generic VM. Not to mention email replies are unheard of from them..emailed numerous times w/ no response.
don't waste your time as I know others that got taken for there $80 from the RacerX Motorsports sponsorship scam...Just my $.02
