Anyone know AutoCAD?
I'm looking for 1 person to hire as a CAD tech to replace me. The office is currently located in Lansdowne (near Leesburg) VA. The position is 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Benefits include Health, Dental, 401, and Life.
The company is William H. Gordon Associates. The discipline is Civil Site Design.
Website is here:

There will need to be an interview and a very minor CAD test (if you've taken AutoCAD in HS you should be able to pass). There are no drug tests.
Anyone interested please reply to this thread and I'll set you up for an interview. Thanks.

Just dumb AutoCAD (if that's what you want to call it). I doubt you'll find a Civil engineering company that uses P&IDs. Right now we are running AutoCAD 2004 with Land Development Desktop and we will be upgrading to Civil 3D this year.
We produce drawings for site development (commercial and residential) to be submitted to the County for approval.
For example:
The Harris Teeter shopping center on Ashburn Village Boulevard (main site constructed, gas station coming soon)
Ritz Carlton gated Golf Course community at Rt.15 and Rt.50 (Estates at Creighton Farms - under construction)
The new Metro Line in Tyson Corner (site suitability)
We design:
Storm Sewer
Sanitary Sewer (Gravity or Forcemain)
Waterlines
Parking Lots
Roads
Sidewalks
Grading for everything including the building footprint
We do not design the Buildings as they are supplied by the Architects.

Ah, environmental cad stuff. I gotcha. How come you have to find a replacement? Good luck, Ill see if anyone I know is looking for that kind of work.
I didnt mean dumb as a insult. It's just how it's refered to vs. intellegent since stuff is linked between different drawings.

easy thing to do is contact ITT or a local community college for prospects...that way they won't ask for toom uch $$$ but you'll have to do some training

so how well do you know me BLU CIVIC?
Considering i have a resturant job, this defently will help me lol. Having a CAD job helps getting into the field more than serving food to rich white folks who pay way too much for American food.
