Anyone around here widen wheels?
found it
kinda pricey at $250 a pop.
I just had my stock rear wheels widened. The guy (Eric Vaughn) did an excellent job. He cut the rear of the wheel off and welded on a 2" blank. I went from a 215 to 255 tire. I needed more traction and am trying to keep with the sleeper look.

Shop up in MI called Weldcraft Wheels (www.weldraftwheels.com) he quoted me about $120/steel wheel. I forgot the name of the shop but the other one was in PA, and he said it would be about $100/steel wheel, then I would have to do paint/powdercoating.
Unfortunatly that "Eric Vaughn" guy seems to reside in Cali
But thanks for finding the info
I think I may have found someone locally though. I've got a few numbers i'm gonna call and see what I can dig up.

I saw the pics and I don't know if that looks so great. I guess I would be concerned about safety, as in the widened rim snapping in half right where it was widened at if the car goes thru a really nasty pothole (especially if wrapped in a very low profile, like 30-35 sidewall, tire).
he's not goin to widen a 13" wheel...and put a 30 series tire on it.
Nor will anyone do that for any wheel under 18" im guessing.
And why would u widen a 17-19" wheel when u can buy soooo many different 17-19" nice rims in the desired widths already.
