Looking for a place that widens wheels... It's kind of a "lost art" from the hot rod days.

Looking to have a set of OEM aluminum 13in BMW wheels widened on the inside from 13x5.5 to 13x8.

Maybe looking into having some dish added to a set of 13 in steelies in the future.






And yes, it can be done, there's a couple companies that do it accross the country, I'm just trying to avoid shipping. UPS couldn't ship a grill without bending it in half (Then blamed it on insufficient packaging) and Fed-Ex couldn't ship a tail light (crushed it almost flat) So I don't trust them with shipping my wheels.

hmm i'd like to know this as well. I'd love to have my stock 15's widened to 8.5 or 9.

It's not all too expensive, the going rate for steelies for the out of state companies are about $100rim, not sure for aluminum, but I'd much rather stay local. I hate shipping companys.

 

i only heard of a wheel repair shop in maryland around here

 

think a machine shop could cut u a piece out?? and maybe even weld it for ya? or atleast cut it out?

Looking for a place that has experience because from what I hear it's extreamly hard to keep the wheel true when welding it back together...

I might have to suck it up and ship 'em.

 

who did you find who does it for $100 each if u ship them?

 

Someone posted a shop here in drag nova before, they had a turbo is300. so that might help with the post search
