I can't tell you where to go for good deals, but DEFINATELY do your research before you buy. Don't just go to one place, go to every place. Compare quality, remember what the little things look like. GOOGLE for information on what makes a good diamond, etc.

Just like they say, "A Diamond is Forever"

A shitty diamond is shitty forever too

I am using my cousin’s account on here (JakesCake) since I could not register. My name is George Shammas and I am the assistant manager at our burke location. Like my cousin stated before, our family have been on the Jewelry business for over 50years. My father is a certified graduate of the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). My uncles are also master Gold Smiths and can repair anything that needs repair. We have had our locations for over 23 years now and still are one of the best Jewelry Stores in Virginia. Actually I should rephrase that, we are the best. If you look at the last Washington Consumer Report magazine, you will see that we ranked NUMBER 1 in watch repair. We beat out everyone in this report. From Bailey Banks (who are owned by Zales and invested by Citi Bank, I know this because I worked for them) to Liljenquist, Kays, Jareds and Tiffany Co. Everyone. We carry certified Diamonds from GIA, AGS, EGL and more. We don’t carry anything lower then SI quality. Laser inscription also. And the reason we can beat anyone’s prices is because we are family owned and operated, NOT CORPRATELY OWNED like most of our competition. They charge up to $65 for a watch battery, we charge $5. By the way, “Jewelers” that work at Zales, Bailey Banks and Jared and other “Jewelry Stores are not GIA certified, 85% of them are just regular people whos last job was at Target or Wal-Mart. They are trained to sell to customers whether or not the customer wants to buy an item, they have sale goals each month. They don’t care about your Jewelry, only your money. Sorry but it is the truth.

I take your comments personal slowsilverteg. Next time you comment on something, make sure you know what you are talking about, and please check us out in the Washington Consumer Report Book, you will find us in the Number 1 spot. And that was decided by the People. Thank you.

I got my GF a heart pendant with certified "colorless" diamonds from Zales. It was somewhat expensive, but she loves the way it sparkles.
