i dropped vcu first semister in the fall

yea, lots of punk rock ppl. They tend to be emo. Probably cuz they are all in the art school.

I wouldn't trust parking my car on the streets in any city. They do have parking garages though and i hear its pretty safe in there.

 

ya the city is pretty ghetto, a lot like downtown dc, or like parts of philly. VCU is supposed to be really good for their Med program and Art and actually their Engineering dept. is supposed to be pretty good their too.
Good luck if your tryna go there, j/p. but if your into the whole hippie/vegetarian/free spirit/art loving shit, then its pretty good, a lot of vegetarian places their now.

 

I'm going to be going there in the Fall too... I'm in the same boat though, i have a car and i dont want to bring it down there b/c it just seems unsafe... as well with my roomate, we both dont trust it. I think what im going to do is leave my car at home for the first year and when second year rolls around im going to get an apartment and bring my car up.

 

well im gonna be living in a house my first year with some of my friends who already go there. i chose not to live on campus, ill prolly regret it tho but yea i would have to park my car on the street and im def not feeling that. what school did u go to?? highschool. maybe we know each other

 

if you really dont want to park on the street, shell out $250 a semester and park in one of the parking garages. you may have to walk a distance to get to you car, but if you're really worried about its safety you wont mind

 

My GF goes to VCU and she don't like it. im down there every other weekend.

VCU is a good school for ART and Med Majors.

Night life is Blah, pretty gay 85% of the time.

same people, same crappy parties.

bring your car down there and it will get Bump, hit, scratch, etc.
really need a beater down there.

a friend of mine parked his teg outside of his gf's place, a fight broke outside around his car and rear bumper scratched, quarter panel big dent, blood everywhere and even found a contact lense on his window.

cops didn't do anything.

But, every school got its flaws....

 

ditto on all accounts....and i personally think your car is safer down here than up in Nova....at least the falls church/baileys crossroads area.
